According to Ayurvedic ancient texts ‘Kaumar’
word means child age ‘0’ to the age of ’16’.
‘Bhritya’ means care. So the subject
‘Kaumarbhritya’ essentially means child care, both Preventive and Curative.
The Preventive aspect of the Department
conducts Vaccination, Suvarnabindu prashan and advice on Diet & Nutrition.
The Curative aspect of the Department
conducts regular O.P.D., Treatment of children specific diseases and Neonatal
